One of the few things cruisers can agree on is that we love food, and that’s one big reason we cruise in the first place. I’m going to show you what I’ve eaten so far, and whether I liked it, rated 1-10, 10 highest.
Eggplant caviar app – MDR dinner. It was a “pretty good” – 6.5Surprisingly, some of my favorite dishes come from the spa counter service (no up charge for this) pictured: Udon salad (10, try it), A very respectable Caprese (9), and a pretty good lentil salad (7)Grilled salmon over veg MDR – 8 out of tenShort ribs – MDR- 9Salmon tartare MDR – 6.5 (I think the texture did me in)Chilled pear and fontina soup MDR – 7.5Barbecue glazed Black Salmon (tasted like Mahi, imo) at the MDR- 7Apple crumble MDR – 10. I’m going to still dream of this once they kick me off the boat. Apple cider oatmeal and cream of wheat at MDR breakfast. 5 – just okSeafood pasta at MDR lunch. 5 – just ok. Eggs Benedict at MDR breakfast – husband says it was “fine” – 7MDR lunch: very odd, too-round meatloaf. Not sure I’d get this again – tasted ok, but far from amazing – 4 Mango Mousse at MDR lunch. Wildly good – easy 10Pecan chocolate pie – it was pretty good, I’d give it a 7. Get the mango mousse! Stuffed fried chicken at MDR dinner (I think it was Cordon Bleu) – to die for! 10
