Epcot Flower and Garden 2025 – Food Hits and Misses
To an enthusiastic eater like myself (bigback?), the food is the real star of Epcot’s annual topiary-infested springtime frolic. Each year has its standouts and, inevitably, some also-rans. Occasionally, we get an actual food-fail (or drink fail, as it were).
One huge surprise: Epcot spoils us with portion sizes this year, surpassing previous offerings and prices haven’t seemed to really increase much (knock me over with a feather). Keep in mind, this list is far from comprehensive and represents the opinion of Deen and her cohort, and tha’s it.
The Hits:
Beignet Caramelise, filled with vanilla cream, glazed with Caramel Fleur de Sol. 10/10. One person in our party: This is the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Agreed — that about sums it up. Stone-baked Moroccan Bread with Assorted Dips: We weren’t expecting a ton from this because, well, it’s just bread, right. Wrong. The dips were incredible and the bread itself perfectly in its flavor and texture. 10/10La Vie en Rose (alcoholic) – An icon for a reason. This is probably Epcot’s most famous drink and is at least partly responsible for turning these festivals into the obsessions they’ve become. It’s a rosy life indeed, if you’ve got one of these in hand. 10/10
The Misses:
Insalata Arlechino: Grape tomato, seasonal melon, balsamic dressing. I love a good caprese, but, alas, the melon just doesn’t work in this. Grilled chicken kababs with garlic aoli — Not terrible, just meh. I’d save my stomach space for something better. Caprese Cocktail: The true loser of Flower and Garden 2025. Do you like drinking straight balsamic vinegar? If so, you’ll love it. Take the Insalata Arlechino and Vitamix it with an entire bottle of balsamic — and you get this. Fail.
The Mids (one good, two meh)
Viking Coffee: Like Loki, I’m lying. This would be a hit, easy – but it’s not technically a festival drink. Odin blesses us with this divine elixir all year long — I just needed a place to include it. Seared Scallops with green beans and marble potatoes: A festival favorite and usually a big hit. This year? The green beans were tough and the scallops kind of cold. The bacon seemed undercooked. Meh. Provence Poutine: Goat brie, lavender honey, lavender flowers and hazlenuts, all on seasoned fries. I was convinced I was going to love this, but this frankensteining of french flavor was just… a lot.
